Thirty One and Eight
A modern and minimalist clothing brand
Julian, the owner of the start-up clothing brand Thirty-One & Eight, was looking for a logo that was both modern and minimal, yet creative enough to stand out. The core creative question was whether to use the full brand name or a shorter "31&8" version, so I explored both paths to help him visualize each direction.
The winning concept was a unique wordmark that playfully merged both ideas. I cleverly replaced the "R" in "Thirty" with a "3," the "N" in "One" with a "1," and the "H" in "Eight" with an "8." Julian was thrilled with this approach, feeling it perfectly blended the two styles he was hoping for in a creative and memorable way.


Letters & Numbers: The Thirty-One & Eight Logo
To give the brand more flexibility, Julian requested two primary logo variations. I designed the main stacked version for most applications, and also provided a secondary horizontal version that works perfectly for wider spaces.

Following the final logo design, the Julian requested a few key brand assets. I designed a business card, letterhead, and a custom clothing tag to create a cohesive look for the brand.
